Royal Canin Giant Dry Junior Food Information

Giant breed dogs have a set of specific requirements that need to be met to help them have a long and healthy life. The Giant range from ROYAL CANIN Size Health Nutrition brings an exclusive nutritional answer to these specific requirements, taking into account your pet's size, age, activity and physiological state.

Key Benefits:

  • Immune Development Support: Supports the puppy's natural defences with a unique antioxidant complex, including lutein, vitamins E & C and taurine.
  • Optimal Digestion: Giant breed puppies show a higher digestive sensitivity than other puppies. An exclusive combination of nutrients (such as highly digestible proteins and prebiotics) promote optimal digestion and contribute to a good stool quality as the puppy matures.
  • Muscle Development & Consolidation: Adapted protein and L-carnitine content helps support the development of powerful muscles.
  • Special Kibble for Giant Puppies: Kibble specifically designed for giant puppies to encourage chewing and help promote good digestion.
  • Joint Care: Key nutrients help support healthy bone development.

Made Specifically For: Giant breed dogs (> 45 kg) from 8 months to 18-24 months of age

Your Dog is Unique!

Just like humans every dog is different when it comes to their dietary needs, this means your pets feeding requirements will vary depending on their breed, environment, age and activity. The below table and the information on the bag is to be used as a starting point, it is important to monitor your dogs weight and adjust their rations as needed.

As it takes time for your dogs digestive system to adapt to the different nutrient levels in a new food it is important to transition your dog correctly from one food to the next to reduce the chance of your pet having an upset stomach. We suggest you take 7 days to transition your dog from the old food to the new food. Start with the majority of the old food and a small amount of the new food on day one and slowly increase the proportion of the new food while decreasing the old food until you are feeding 100% of the new food on day 7.

We also recommend feeding your dog twice daily and ensure that your dog always has fresh, clean water available to drink.

Both our boys love this food, bag lasts 2 weeks which is rare in this household feeding one bull mastiff and one rottweiler.Rottweiler is a picky eater and quickly goes off food but loves this stuff, Bull mastiff is a quick eater and coughs up regular kibble if eater too fast so the large size kibble is perfect for them. happy healthy pups!

9 month old Weimarana has never liked the Eukanuba recommended, so I tried to do the slow change out to Royal Canin... She ate every RC biscuit & left the Euk in her bowl! Researched the goodies in this & even the smell comes up trumps! She's also too big & nutritionally needy for the Euk, this caters for her adolescent size too.
