Description
Royal Canin Mini Starter Puppy Food
Royal Canin’s BIRTH PROGRAM is a unique nutritional solution that meets the needs of the mother and her puppies during the first five stages of life: gestation, birth, lactation, weaning and growth up to two months. Rooted in scientific research, Royal Canin’s exclusive START COMPLEX™ is a combination of nutrients present in the mother’s milk (including vitamins E & C) that actively promote digestive health and help maintain the puppy’s natural defences.
Key Benefits:
- Gestation/Lactation Support: Nutritional profile specifically adapted to the mother’s high energy needs at the end of gestation and during lactation.
- Ideal Transition From Milk: Nutritional response helps to facilitate the transition from mother’s milk to solid food.
- Easy Rehydration: Kibbles easily rehydrate to a porridge-like consistency that is very palatable for both the mother and her weaning puppies.
Made Specifically For: For small breed (up to 10kg) mothers from the end of gestation and during lactation and for weaning puppies up to two months of age

Guidelines
Your Dog is Unique!
Just like humans every dog is different when it comes to their dietary needs, this means your pets feeding requirements will vary depending on their breed, environment, age and activity. The below table and the information on the bag is to be used as a starting point, it is important to monitor your dogs weight and adjust their rations as needed.
As it takes time for your dogs digestive system to adapt to the different nutrient levels in a new food it is important to transition your dog correctly from one food to the next to reduce the chance of your pet having an upset stomach. We suggest you take 7 days to transition your dog from the old food to the new food. Start with the majority of the old food and a small amount of the new food on day one and slowly increase the proportion of the new food while decreasing the old food until you are feeding 100% of the new food on day 7.
We also recommend feeding your dog twice daily and ensure that your dog always has fresh, clean water available to drink.

My new mother has now swapped over to this product and seems to be enjoying it. I have been advised that it is good for her and the babies. My only complaint is that it is expensive to feed to her and in a few weeks to her 5 puppies. I wish the price was more affordable. Her coat looks very good and I am hoping the nutrition will keep her in good health.

This is an amazing product to feed a bitch in her second month, then follow through with puppies prior to changing them onto puppy food.

Pups love it,Mum loves it. It is tiny pieces so pups can start on it as early as they want and it dissolves nicely and quickly in water.
