Your Dog is Unique!
Just like humans every dog is different when it comes to their dietary needs, this means your pets feeding requirements will vary depending on their breed, environment, age and activity. The below table and the information on the bag is to be used as a starting point, it is important to monitor your dogs weight and adjust their rations as needed.
As it takes time for your dogs digestive system to adapt to the different nutrient levels in a new food it is important to transition your dog correctly from one food to the next to reduce the chance of your pet having an upset stomach. We suggest you take 7 days to transition your dog from the old food to the new food. Start with the majority of the old food and a small amount of the new food on day one and slowly increase the proportion of the new food while decreasing the old food until you are feeding 100% of the new food on day 7.
We also recommend feeding your dog twice daily and ensure that your dog always has fresh, clean water available to drink.

We tried giving our dogs the Eukanuba Premium Performance which we'd heard good reviews about but within days of eating it our younger dogs were scratching all over despite having been treated for fleas. They didn't seem to like the flavour of the Eukanuba either. The dogs all LOVE the Acana, we'd been using the Acana puppy and Junior prior to it which our pups thrived on. My whippet cross heading dog is finally keeping a nice amount of weight on and their coats are super glossy. Highly recommend the entire Acana range.

I have one of the fussiest and lightweight dogs I have ever met and she would only eat what I ate for a very long time but fortunately now I have found this! She loves it! No flavourings required, she looks healthier in her coat, she isn't itchy from grain and it gives her enough nutritional value to last her bouncing around all day. She is a highly active dog and I'm still managing to keep the weight on her only using half a cup more than suggested for her weight (which is un-heard of!) It is a little more expensive but considering it's grain free, tasty and making her look and feel great, I think it's worth the extra cost.

A bit early to judge how it is going for the dogs, still in the transition stage. They both seem to like it which is a bonus. After seeing the differences in a friends dog after changing to acana, I am in anticipation of it doing well for my guys too.

... but right from the get-go my dog was less interested in this and would leave most of it in his bowl, only going back at the end of the day to finish it off. I tried to save some money buy switching to this from Orijen 6 Fish, which gets his tail excitedly wagging as soon as I lift the lid of of the bucket we store it in, so I'll be switching back asap. The other thing is if I don't feed him wet food as well as this he becomes constipated! That said it's clear from other reviews that it works for some so I would still recommend it as something worth trying, but know it's not best for all.

With this food I am finally able to keep some weight on my whippet x staffy without having to feed excessive amounts. She loves it and her coat is shinier than it used to be.
